Why this exists
Finding someone to replace your eavestroughs is harder than it should be. You ring five companies, three never call back, and the two quotes you get are impossible to compare because one includes disposal and the other does not.
We fix the first half of that: you describe the job once, and companies that actually cover your street and do that kind of work come to you.
Gutter or eavestrough?
Both. They are the same thing, and which word you use depends on where you live — “eavestrough” across Ontario and the Prairies, “gutter” in British Columbia and most of North America. Most national sites pick one and read as foreign to half the country. We use whichever your region uses, and say both where it helps.
How we make money
Contractors pay us for the opportunity to quote on a job. Homeowners pay nothing, and the price you are quoted for the work is between you and the contractor — we take no cut of it and have no say in it.
We say this plainly because the business model explains our incentives. We are paid when contractors find the leads worth buying, which only happens when the homeowners are real and the matches are genuinely local. Padding the network with distant companies would earn us more in the short term and destroy it in the medium term.
What we will not do
- Publish fake reviews or invented star ratings.
- Award a verification badge to anyone who has not met its documented criterion.
- Sell your contact details to anyone outside the contractors matched to your job.
- Let a contractor buy a better position in the quotes you compare.
- Pretend the contractors work for us. They do not.
- Invent local offices or fake addresses to look bigger than we are.
