How it works
You answer a few questions once. Local gutter and eavestrough companies compete for your job. Here is exactly what happens, including who sees your details and when.
- 1
Tell us what you need
Your postal code, the kind of work, and a few details about your home. It takes about two minutes, and photos are optional but make the quotes far more accurate.
Nothing is shared with anyone until you finish and agree on the last step.
- 2
Local pros are notified
Verified companies that cover your postal area and do that specific type of work receive your request. Nobody outside your area sees it.
We share your request with at most four independent local companies.
- 3
Compare the quotes
Interested companies contact you directly. Compare price, materials, warranty and timing side by side, and ask whatever you need to before committing.
We never rank by who paid most. You see what they quote, in full.
- 4
Choose, or walk away
Pick the company you like, book the work, and leave a review afterwards so the next homeowner has something honest to go on.
No fee, and no obligation to hire anyone at all.
Your information
Who sees what, and when
The honest version, because this is the part most lead sites are vague about.
Never public
Your name, address, phone and email are never published on this site and never appear in the contractor marketplace listing.
Only matched companies
Contact details are released only to companies that take on your specific request — at most four, and often fewer in smaller markets.
Never sold on
We do not sell your information to anyone outside the network, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
Eavestroughing.ca connects homeowners with local, independent gutter and eavestrough professionals. We are not a contractor and do not perform work ourselves. Contractors listed here operate their own businesses.
Questions
What homeowners ask
Is it really free?
Yes, for homeowners. There is no fee and no obligation to hire anyone. Contractors pay us for the opportunity to quote, which is how the service is funded. That never changes the price you are quoted for the work itself.
What's the difference between a gutter and an eavestrough?
Nothing at all. They are two words for the same thing. "Eavestrough" is the common term in Ontario and the Prairies, while "gutter" is used almost exclusively in British Columbia and is the standard word elsewhere in North America. Contractors understand both.
How many companies will contact me?
It depends on how many verified contractors cover your postal code and do the type of work you need. We share your request with up to four, and fewer in smaller markets. We would rather send you two genuinely local companies than pad the number with companies an hour away.
Who sees my contact details?
Only contractors who take on your request, and only after they do. Your name, address and phone number are never published on this site, never shown in the public lead listings, and never sold to anyone outside the network. You can withdraw at any time by emailing support@eavestroughing.ca.
How quickly will I hear back?
Most homeowners hear from at least one company within one to two business days. It is usually faster in large cities and during the spring and autumn busy periods it can be slower, because that is when every gutter company in the country is already on a roof.
Are the contractors employed by Eavestroughing.ca?
No. Every contractor is an independent business that operates on its own account, sets its own prices and carries its own insurance. We verify their registration and insurance documents and pass on your request. We do not perform work and we do not supervise theirs.
What does a "verified" badge actually mean?
Each badge maps to a specific check. "Business Verified" means we confirmed the legal name and registration number. "Insurance Verified" means we have a current liability certificate on file and checked its expiry date. A company that has not met a criterion simply does not display that badge.
Do I have to hire one of the companies you match me with?
No. Compare the quotes, ask questions, and if none of them suit you, do nothing. There is no cancellation fee and no follow-up pressure from us.
